Sundays Together
“The Bride of Christ” (Norman} Sundays gives us the opportunity to spend a couple of hours together as a church, well that is the normal duration of the"meeting". Usually we spend about 40 minutes in praise and worship. It is upbeat worship, lively and expressive! Opportunity is given to share and to exercise spiritual gifts so that we all might benefit and grow. It is done sensitively and in order if that might worry you, but we are keen to be on the edge of what God is doing and saying. Half way through the children leave and meet in the Sunday School, which is led by a gifted group of volunteers. The children enjoy their time and their space. Now and again they will come and share some of the lessons or presentations with the main congregation, which is always a blessing! This is also the time when the creche meets with the younger children. The rest of the church is then taught, mainly by the pastor, but also through other gifted members and visting speakers. We have close links to KC21 Aldershot, and CLC Bradford, as well as churches in France, Russia, India and Sri Lanka, and often will be ministered to by leaders from these places. After the teaching, and ministry time if there is one, we continue fellowship by serving drinks, which we see as an important time to develop friendships in the church. |
